I know you're wondering about the price right? Well, how much do you think it would be worth to you to have a two minute ad on a targeted DVD that will be marketed and sold forever? What would it be worth to your business to benefit from every sale of this DVD title? Can you really place a fair number on something like this? The answer is obviously no. How could you possibly set a fair price on something of such incredibly high lifelong value? My DVD titles sell very well. You stand to get a ton of exposure which will only grow as each copy is sold. This is one of those marketing decisions you will be thrilled you made and sorry you didn't say yes to if you pass it by. Remember, once a title is being distributed, that's it. There are no sponsor ad changes. If you miss out on it you can never be on the title. The only thing you can do is request sponsorship consideration for another title. The thing I can't streess enough here is picking a title that nicely targets your target market. You won't to choose a title that has the widest appeal to your offer. You may have many products and / or services from which to easily taylor an offer for a wide variety of titles. If so you will be very pleased if you are selected to become a sponsor.

It's also important for you to understand just how much work goes in to creating a new DVD title. It starts with research. The first thing I do is look at what people are buying to determine a good DVD topic. Obviously this is a very important first step to ensure the title is something the market is willing to buy. This can take a while due to the nature of other products in the marketplace and other issues. Next I start researching for the content to go on the DVD. The DVD must be good. It must provide solid content to offer help and benefit to the buyer. I then create a raw script outline. The script outline is time consuming. It's not something that can be quickly jotted down. It's the work flow chart that sets the stage for the entire production. This is followed by other production work. I said is qith a short simple sentence however production is far from simple. It takes time, energy, expense, and a list of resources. Next there's the actual video shoot followed by post production work. Again this is very time consuming. Camera's lighting, locations etc. Everything is a factor. I design the DVD box cover. This is a critical creative step since many will base their initial reaction to the DVD based on it's cover design. Things like marketing and search engine optimization for ongoing sales are only the start. There's much more that goes on behind the scenes of a successful DVD launch. Every title is carefully promoted through many online and offline methods. There's packaging concerns and stocking etc. Overall it takes generally a couple weeks or more to get a DVD ready for distribution. And then once distribution is underway, each DVD title must be maintained in stock and ready for unlimited order fulfillment.

Let's say your offer brings you a net profit of $50. This is a very conservative amount. Obviously if your offer nets you a much higher return, you wil be in profit much faster. I have many DVD titles. I recently launched a DVD which sold over 1,000 copies in just under three weeks. So let's use that number. If you had been a sponsor of this DVD your profit in the three week period would have been $50,000. Again, how much is it worth to you to be a selected sponsor for a DVD title that will be promoted and sold forever? Would you expect to pay a one time sponsor ad rate of $10,000.? How about $5,000. Both would be a great value and certainly an ongoing direct benefit to you. I'm not currently going to price the sponsor ads at these rates although in the future I may. Of course I do reserve the right to increase the sponsor rate at any time. However today you will not pay $10,000. You won't pay $5,000. You won't even pay $2,500. The current sponsorship rate for those selected to participate is only $1,500. And I am very firm at only selecting a maximum of five sponsors per DVD title. Every selected sponsor also receives a complimentary copy of the DVD their sponsored ad appears on.


Here are a few more things to consider. As a sponsor your number one concern is of course how many copies sell. Allow me to share some of the creative ways all of my DVD titles are sold. There are direct sales that come as a result of search engine traffic. There are many viral marketing videos around the web which drive traffic. I often offer bundled specials which allow a buyer to purchase several related titles at a discount. My private list subscribers get special offers which generates more sales. Every DVD sold contains branded site information promoting the site and all DVD titles. I heavily cross promote similar or related content titles on every DVD. This means that if you are chosen as a sponsor on this DVD and someone buys another title that is relevant to this one, there is a high likelyhood they will have great interest and even purchase the title you have sponsored. I also utilize drop cards, do live trade show and other events with very large groups of people. 9 times out of ten when I leave the house or office I am wearing a promotional branded shirt and or hat which also drives traffic to the site. Blogs, forums and much more! These are only a small number of traffic driving strategies currently being utilized to generate more ongoing sales. Internet marketing is an evolving process and what works today may not be as effective next week. I am always learning new innovative strategies and implementing them to ensure these DVD titles sell and sell well.

Q. Do you allow more than one sponsorship ad from the same person on the same DVD?
A. Sometimes. It depends on the content of the ad. If the content is for seperate offers then it may be acdeptable. However the same sponsor can not repeat his or her ad on the same DVD.

Q. Is it possible for me to purchase two sponsorship blocks of time to have a single ad of 4 minutes in duration?
A. Yes. If the ad copy is good and the content is suitable for the DVD.

Q. How long can I anticipate the DVD titles being sold?
A. I'm still a young man. Marketing is in my blood. I am always in sales mode. I have no plans to retire. The DVD titles will always be available. Even when I cross over, things are in place to pass my corporation and business ventures to my wife and son.

Q. Do I have to purchase the title I sponsor?
A. No. Once you have been selected as a sponsor you will be sent a complimentary copy once production is complete.

Q. How do you introduce the sponsored ads?
A. I urge the viewer to watch the sponsored ads and often offer a teaser to ensure they continue to watch through the ads to get to a final thought about the DVD content.

Q. What are my ad options?
A. You have several choices. Your ad can be a simple black background with text only. You can have a background with text and audio. You can have video.

A. The highest quality video is always best. It doesn't have to be HiDef but it does need to be good quality. I can accept a variety of formats but prefer Avi or Mpeg.

A. You do not want to try and close the sale in two minutes. The only exception to this rule is is you are realllllllly good and have an incredibly compelling, outright irresistable offer. Your goal should always be to simply tease the viewer in to taking some form of action such as going to your web site or calling your phone number.
