Here’s how my Lifetime Club Membership started

A short time after I launched this site (and people starting buying my CDs and DVDs)  I started getting calls and emails asking if I had plans to offer some sort of “DVD of the month” club. I had actually thought about this idea for a while but knew that if I did it, I wanted mine to be different than the rest.

I did a lot of research. I reviewed many DVD of the month type membership sites. I spoke with several people who operate them. I was also able to speak with several people who at one time or another had been part of such a monthly membership. I asked them how they liked it and what they would change about it if they could.

After much consideration I decided not to offer a monthly membership and opted for what I feel is a far greater value for you the consumer. The majority of people I spoke with told me they enjoyed getting the DVD every month and often looked forward to it. However, they didn’t like the monthly membership fee. And if the DVD of a particular month wasn’t exactly thrilling to them, then they liked the monthly membership fee even less. Now I realize that not every one is always going to like every title 100%. This is especially true with a variety of niche specific topics. However I only offer titles that focus in the areas of marketing, personal development and income generation. The good news is there’s plenty of room for a large variety of titles that do fall within these areas and still be able to keep the content new, fresh and exciting.

When I spoke with some of the membership site owners it was pretty clear that feeling as if they were under the gun to produce a new DVD every month was taking its toll. It does require a lot of time, energy and effort not to mention resources and of course research to produce quality content. It’s not as simple as turning on a video camera and talking for two hours. I didn’t want the pressure to produce something that might be rushed and would not meet my high standards.

I certainly am not in any way limited to producing CD or DVD titles based solely on these niche specific topics. I’m sure I will produce some titles that are better suited to other niches. I create new titles based in part on the number of requests I get for a particular topic.

Some titles may include a manual, binder, workbook, or even a soft or hard bound book as part of an overall course. This is where your value really adds up. So how much would you expect to pay for such a value packed lifetime membership? I did some research to uncover what others are doing who currently offer a DVD of the month type membership club. I found that in almost every instance the fee averages $97. to $177. each month. And this is based on a single DVD received per month. They also do NOT send you any DVDs like I do. They simply start you off with one and next month you get another one and so on.

Another thing you have to watch out for is the content duration. A lot of the sites I reviewed indicated each DVD will be a “minimum of one hour” in duration. I have purchased lots of DVD titles and paid top dollar for them, only to be disappointed when I discovered they were 45 to 60 minutes in duration. Personally I feel like the DVD holds two hours and it should be full length. Otherwise you aren’t getting full value. Same thing is true with a CD which holds 80 minutes.

The math works out to $1,164. to $2,124. each year and at most 12 hours of content based on 12 DVD titles. I just don’t see how this model offers the best consumer value. I offer you something MUCH better.

All of my DVD titles are a minimum of two hours in length. You will always get a full length DVD that is jam-packed with pure content. All of my CD titles are 80 minutes. You always get a full length CD that is completely full with pure content.

My DVD titles are all a minimum of two hours each. Some titles are 2.5 hours. Some of my cases contain two DVDs with a total of four hours of content from a single title. Even if I were to only offer one two hour DVD per month, you would still get at least twice the content (based on hours) per year than the other DVD of the month type sites offer. I can assure you my DVD title production is a serious focus. It’s my passion.

There may be some months that I only create a single title and others where I create more than a single title. I recently created 7 titles in a single month! The bottom line is you enjoy the overall value and never have to pay anything over and above your lifetime membership fee to get all CD and DVD titles I create. By having a lifetime membership with a one-time flat fee, you start getting value immediately. And as the years go by your value becomes even greater.

The real value for you here is more than just an incredible savings. Sure you will save money based on the things I mentioned above. But don’t forget about the actual content you will receive as well.
